Did Jesus teach prosperity?

If so, give me examples of how He taught that righteousness leads to financial prosperity. If not, why is this the most common theme taught by well known evangelists/mega churches? Please give any applicable scriptures and remember to put them in context, not isolating a few words and changing the meaning....
