Should I wear shorts?

For the last day of school this year there is a Valley Fair trip which is an outdoor amusement park. And I heard its going to be mega hot and I'm thinking about wearing shorts. I just am nervous about it. I am a little bigger but I have good legs. I just have a little bit of cellulite on the back and I'm sorta pale. :/ Plus my friends BF is a total jack *** and I'm a little worried that he'll be a jerk to me.. So should I wear shorts? And tights or leggings under them isn't really an option..
