My ps3 has lines coming out of characters faces and hands. eyes and such.?

they are like poles stuck in their if the person moves the line moves accordingly. and they shoot into infiniti. some times it takes a bit for them to start popping up but never very long. i have it the ps3 hooked to a normal t.v. with the color coded prongs in their slots. but i have like an extra red and then like blue and such. it's really irritating so PLEASE tell me what to do or i'll have to try swimming in lava.
