Driver License question?

so a few days ago I got my driver license (temporary piece of paper) until the real one (plastic card) will arrive by mailbox, and the question is, I have copied this paper by scanner and I got flawless result it looks like as the original one, now I don't want to carry with me the original one, I would like to take with me this copied one, I'm curious if police officer stop me for some reason and I show him/her the copied one, would be it ok for them? will it work If i say I don't take the original one with me but this is the copy of original license, what do you think?
