Nikon vs Canon, why is one better than the other?

The Nikon D3000 is a very basic DSLR with few features. It requires Nikon's AF-S lenses if you want auto focus. The Canon XS was introduced in 2008 so its now 3 years behind in technology.nikon d3100 is the latest model of this year.so i would prefer to you nikon d3100.The D3100 has a slight edge (0.7 f-stops) in low noise, high ISO performance. d3100 Shoots Full HD (1080p) video as well as still pictures.
